Static ThinkBox Creator Celebrates 5th Wedding Anniversary!

July 1st, 2002 - the day that changed history. The history of my family anyway. Jeffry Brunson and Julie Dishong confirmed their commitments to each other in holy matrimony in a small wedding chapel on the Las Vegas Strip. Yes, we did it Vegas style! After a failed attempt to piece together a ‘normal’ wedding with a ceremony and reception, we decided to make life easier and fly to Las Vegas, NV and do things their way. Let me add that was by far one of the smartest decisions we have made together other than marrying each other of course. We even kept our hotel a secret for the most part (we stayed at the Luxor). Our two witnesses consisted of the minister and the limo driver. And no, we did not get married by Elvis or anyone impersonating The King. We had a solid Christian message by a guy with a French accent. That was fine with us.
We now have a 3 year old son who will turn 4 in November. He has just officially become potty trained so life is pretty damn good right now. For any parents out there, you know what I’m talking about. My wife is still super sexy and I hope that she’ll put up with me for several more years. I’m not going to bore you with cheesy lovey-dovey stuff as that is between us, but life is so much easier when you’re with someone you love and they return their love towards you. Our next big challenge is to figure out what do we want to get that is made of wood to celebrate 5 wonderful years. It’s gone by so fast.
Thanks for 5 great years, or 9 years if you want to count when we met and started dating. I love you Julie.
