AT&T Increases Advertising with Message of ‘More Bars in More Places’
By Jeff | August 18, 2007
Starting in the near future if not already, you’ll be seeing new television ads from the new AT&T with their message of ‘More bars in more places.’ Now that Cingular Wireless changed it’s name to the new AT&T (AT&T Mobility in actuality), the new AT&T brand gets to capitalize on the success that Cingular built and their approximate 62 million wireless subscribers. Just to clear the air, here is a funny video with accurate information as to what all happened with the whole SBC, BellSouth, and AT&T business deal:
Just in case that went too fast for you, here is a recap. Southwestern Bell (SBC) and BellSouth co-owned Cingular Wireless. SBC bought out AT&T but for marketing purposes decided to keep the AT&T name. Then SBC (now the new AT&T) merged with BellSouth. Once that was pretty much completed, the new AT&T went ahead and changed the name of Cingular Wireless to AT&T Mobility; thus creating the allusion of one giant company even though technically AT&T Mobility is a separate company as it has always been.I know it’s confusing so just nod your head in agreement and take a look at the following claims that the new AT&T can make and will be making in their upcoming ads:
- More bars in more places – the largest digital wireless voice and data network in the country.
- AT&T has 45,000 cell sites – more than any other carrier.
- AT&T has the largest international wireless coverage of any carrier, with voice calling in 190 countries and data roaming in nearly 140.
- AT&T is the only carrier whose 3G network allows voice and data use at the same time, which makes possible an innovative service like Video Share.

I just use the code section in my editing posts right now as I have not actually installed any kind of video plugin. But I will be shortly because I have to edit the code everytime I correct something on the post and that gets annoying.
