ThinkBox Mad Props!
By Jeff | August 24, 2007
Occasionally, I will take some time to give some Mad Props to a group of websites that I feel deserve it for some reason or another. I used to call this type of post ‘ThinkBox Shout Outs!’ but I also call the comments that people leave me ’shout outs’ and that seemed to be confusing. I seriously doubt any of you were confused over it, but this is me that we are talking about and I need to “keep it simple, stupid.” So here are some sites that I feel deserve some ‘Mad Props!’
Lubbock, TX - Road to Williamsport - I realize this is a hometown pick and I’m biased. But the site is very cool with soundbites from the players that play as you mouse over their pictures. It’s how I stay updated if I’m not able to watch the games because of work. It’s also where I get my pictures for my updates. I know, I’m a thief.
Inner 88 from Jason A Clark - This is another biased pick as Jason is one of my best friends. I owe a lot of the elements of my blog to him as he has helped me tremendously in getting it started. Not so much in setting it up but giving me ideas and putting the thought in my head to even do it. Plus he recently posted the coolest video post that I’ve seen in awhile. Check his page out and I guarantee you will learn something.
Huma B~ Post - Barrett Laurie recently awarded me with a ‘Nice Matters Award‘ and I’m greatly appreciative. He has become a faithful reader of my blogs and I have become one of his; although, I would say that he definitely out comments me but I’ll work on that. He focuses mostly on current events and has good information that is easy to read, plus he’s starting a Sunday Editorial series that I’m excited to begin participating in.
My Life is Murphy’s Law - Ev Nucci recently commented on my page, so I ventured over to hers and kept going back. It’s great. I laughed… I cried… I spilled coke on myself. Plus, I think she has the coolest name ever in the history of the world. Well, not as cool as Optimus Prime, Luke Skywalker, William Wallace, Attila the Hun, Alexander the Great, Socrates, etc… but those are all guys and two are fictional and the rest are over glorified. Okay, maybe not the coolest ever, but pretty darn cool nonetheless.
Myxer - This is not a blogging site, but it is one of my favorites. As a wireless employee, I do from time to time find awesome sites that enhance my cell phone experience, and this is one of them. Myxer allows you to make your own ringtones. If you have songs on your computer (and we all know that you do,) you can upload that song and make your ringtone for the part of the song you like to hear and send it to your phone free of charge (disclaimer: your cell phone carrier may charge for data when the ringtone is sent depending on your plan features). You need to be registered to actually do your editing but how hard is that really. You can also send your own graphics to your device after you upload them.

LOL! Great post! Thanks for the kind words! I didn’t realize how many comments I had left on your blog until I checked out your recent comments box and my name was EVERYWHERE! LOL! Well at least you know I am an avid fan! I also see that we have a mutual friend! Ev is one of my favorite people on the planet! I will be sure and check out the other sites listed! Take care!
P.S.-I noticed that you had commented on AnitoKids page about him updating his matrix! I have left SEVERAL comments and he still hasn’t gotten it right! I have found that if you keep hounding him he will update it! I think he also runs KlapKids too, may be wrong though! Anyway, good luck!

Finally! I got the Mad Props I have been waiting for! Or was that keystone cops? Disposable mops? That doesn’t sound right.
Anyway, thanks for rewarding me for wasting time at work and passing along information and entertainment that has no practical value whatsoever to any of us. You rock!
