Little Baby ThinkBox Update (13 Weeks)
By Jeff | September 7, 2007
My wife is considered to be 13 weeks into her pregnancy. The following information about the development of Little Baby ThinkBox is taken from eMedTV as I find their site easy to use and understand for the purposes of this blog. Picture is taken from Pregnancy.org.

At 13 weeks pregnant, Momma ThinkBox may find herself starting to actually look pregnant — she may have a “bump.” Also, morning sickness and moodiness may finally be getting better.
Baby ThinkBox is now 2.6 to 3.1 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at 0.5 to 0.7 ounces.
At 13 weeks pregnant, Baby ThinkBox can now probably flex its arms and kick its legs. He or she may also be able to put a thumb in his or her mouth, although the sucking muscles are not yet completely developed.
Other fetal developments that occur during the 13th week of pregnancy typically include the following:
- The appearance of fingernails
- The beginnings of fingerprints and footprints
- The appearance of tooth buds for all 20 baby teeth
- The start of vocal cord formation
- The movement of eyes (closer together) and the ears (to a normal position)
- The appearance of visible ribs
- The development of the trachea, lungs, stomach, liver, pancreas, and intestines into their final functioning form.
Tips for Momma ThinkBox:
During week 13 of pregnancy, many of your early pregnancy symptoms may have subsided or will soon. Anxiety may also decrease because the risk of miscarriage is significantly less after the twelfth week of pregnancy.
You may feel some abdominal pain during week 13 of pregnancy as the ligaments that hold up your uterus stretch to accommodate it as it grows. This is called “round ligament pain.”
Remember to rest if you are feeling tired; your body is still adjusting to the pregnancy.

Ultimately, it’s not going to matter one way or the other as the little one will be loved no matter what.

Your right, boys are easier than girls! Katy, my little sister, is 16 and she is a HANDFUL! Between boys and the other silly things teenagers do, makes me think that girls are a BIT more complicated! LOL! Take care friend! I hope that this note finds you and your family well!
