Week 2 Match ups Report

The End is NearÂ
Reapers vs. Team I Totally Suck – I have no idea why Team I Totally Suck chose the logo that they did except for the fact that their team sucks and the logo sucks. Nonetheless, we have a matchup between a veteran coach and a rookie coach who showed that he belongs in this league by putting a beat down on the team we all love to hate - the WickedEVILballas. The ballas guaranteed victory, but I guess the warranty expired because their co-worker rookie coach took care of business. I had Totally Suck winning this game until I came to the Defense position. If the Houston Texans can score mad points on the Chiefs, imagine what the Chicago Bears will do. The Bears will single-handedly give the Reapers the victory. Damn those rookies who think they can play. The League Website’s GURU prediction: 92 – 90, Reapers by 2.

Another One Bites the Dust
Crusaders vs. WickedEVILballas – This might be my favorite game to watch besides my own as I have the ballas losing again this week. Ah, it’s fun to watch my biggest rival fall. Last week, the ballas thought they had it easy against a rookie coach when he played his co-worker and found out otherwise. Repeat after me, Jake - “I’m the Reapers little girl” I’m the Reapers little girl. Good job. Crusaders took care of business last week against the Rattlesnakes and will take care of the ballas this week. The match ups are in his favor. It’s okay Jake, eventually you will play Harron. The League Website’s GURU prediction: 101 – 97, Crusaders by 4.
La Dee Freakin Da
Howie’s Quack Attack vs. Rattlesnakes – This game has a pretty good chance to be the closest match up of the week (regardless of what the website predicts.) On paper, these teams are fairly evenly matched. Now of course, we know how Indianapolis Colts did terrible things to Drew Brees, but I doubt Tampa Bay can replicate that so Brees will bounce back big. Rattlesnakes have Carson Palmer against the Browns so the QBs could be fairly close. The difference will be decided at the RB position. If Marion Barber scores, the Rattlesnakes win. I think he will score and the snakes will even up their record at 1-1. The League Website’s GURU prediction: 85 – 92, snakes by 7.

Wake Me Up When September Ends
Comeback Kidz vs. SuperstarZ – This is a match up that nobody cares about except for the ones actually playing the game, which is unfortunate because due to some lucky breaks both of these team show excellent promise. SuperstarZ are coming off an amazing upset of the Teabaggers as they were the highest scoring team of the week as a rookie. What’s this world coming to? The Kidz kept it real lucky as Chester Taylor went down to injury and road an impressive performance by Adrian Peterson to victory despite the struggles of Reggie Bush. This is one of those games that can be the highest scoring contest or the lowest. I think the Peterson factor will again push the edge to the Comeback Kidz as they will improve to 2-0. It’s time to teach the rookie how to lose. The League Website’s GURU prediction: 85 – 89, starZ by 4.

GAME OF THE WEEK:
ThinkBox Thunder vs. Teabaggers – This is a contest between two rivals and between the only teams to have multiple championships in this league. For the second week in a row, ThinkBox Thunder is involved in the Game of the Week, and for the second week in the row the Thunder will Roll and Perry will get teabagged. I predicted the Teabaggers would be involved in the blowout of the week as they were supposed to initiate one of our newest members - rookie team SuperstarZ.  While the blowout did happen, it was the teabaggers who were on the receiving end of the pain and lost by a score of 138 - 107. Unfortunately, pain will rain again as the defending champs will crush the Teabaggers and make them my little girls. Larry Johnson will struggle again behind an ever weakening offensive line. The struggling O-line of the Rams will keep the game closer than it should be, but my 10th round selection of Ben Roethlisberger will take care of my victory. The League Website’s GURU prediction: 95-92, Teabaggers by 3 (Guru is an idiot).
