Static ThinkBox Leads Team Supermodels
By Jeff | September 26, 2007
I’ve gone and done it. I have become team captain of our weight loss challenge team at work. We have dubbed ourselves “Team Supermodels.” Our motto: “We’re bringing our sexyback.”
Of course, this is a great program for our employers. Working in a call center in front of a cubicle doesn’t exactly lend itself to lean mean working machines. There is a tendency to gain a few pounds as opposed to the constant moving of a restaurant server. As team captain, I am responsible for leading, motivating, and disciplining. I also took it upon myself to create some team shirts to promote unity among our team members. My background in art design was a huge plus as our logo was inspired by Justin Timberlake’s recent CD cover. I designed the following to be used as the back of our team t-shirts.

One week has past and so far we have reduced our combined weight by 1.64% with 5 weeks to go before the final official weigh in. As team captain, I was able to lead the pack in losing 8 lbs. Eight pounds! That’s crazy. I’m so excited. So feel free to join me in my journey each week to track my progress. Here is a list of things that I have done to shed off a little extra ThinkBox poundage.
- Stopped consumption of carbonated beverages. I mainly drink Propel Fitness Water from Gatorade.
- Watched what I ate and tried to maintain a healthy diet of fish and chicken and salads. Reduced red meat tremendously.
- Snacked on fruits, vegetables, and pre-packaged 100 calorie items.
- During breaks at lunch, I spend my 15 minutes walking the hallway at work which is a glories quarter-mile long. I also have been walking a near by trail after work for 2.1 miles.
- Eat only wheat bread at Subway and whole grain wheat bread on sandwiches at home.
- Have a wonderful wife as a support system
- Reward myself with one hearty meal once a week.
